Some of the news is found below:

    Point clouds

    • An improved vectorization where the points are first saved as meshes and then can be saved to terrain models. This makes it possible to create terrain models with negative sloping surfaces.
    • Another improved function of point clouds is to filter, among other things, scanning results made in tunnels where it is possible to get rid of unwanted points/objects inside the tunnel.
    • Point clouds can also be transformed using the Gtrans, Proj4 and the Move command.
    • When you vector point clouds you can choose between retaining/not retaining vectored objects.

    New Concept: Attribute Group

    • We introduce a new concept: attribute group, which makes it easy to apply a number of attributes to different objects.
    • This can be applied in both measurement data and in the drawing.

  • User story: Easier steps from mapping to solids when Falun’s urban model in 3D is emerging

A 3D model of Falun is slowly growing. At the same time as aerial photos are being mapped, the information is transmitted directly to Topocad via the link to EspaCity. It simplifies the work for survey engineer Andreas Westman and his colleagues.

Falun is the city that grows most in Dalarna, a central part of Sweden. In the municipality, a city model has been developed in 3D, and it changes as a r...
